Reminders and notifications
Will Doz reminders come through when my iPhone is on Silent or Do Not Disturb?
Yes. Doz supports Critical Alerts, so medication reminders can break through Silent and Focus modes. Everything else Doz sends stays quiet and respects your normal notification settings.
What happens to my meal-timed doses if I eat late?
Doses tied to a meal follow your real mealtimes rather than a fixed clock time. If you push dinner back an hour, the dose that belongs after dinner waits with you and shifts too.
What happens if I forget to log a dose?
Doz sends a follow-up nudge, and only if a dose stays unlogged. Once you log it, the reminders for that dose stop.
Will Doz tell me before I run out of a medication?
Yes. Doz sends refill reminders while you still have pills left, showing how many remain so you can reorder before the course is interrupted.
Organising your medications
Why does Doz group medications by prescription instead of showing one flat list?
Because that is how doctors prescribe them. Each prescription becomes one card holding every medication it contains, along with the prescriber and how long the course runs. You add the whole prescription in one flow and Doz builds every reminder from it, so you are not rebuilding a schedule pill by pill.
Can Doz handle medications I take in cycles, or that change with time zones?
Yes to both. Cycles such as 21 days on and 7 days off are supported, and when you cross time zones your doses shift with you.
Privacy and syncing
Do I need to create an account to use Doz?
No. Doz requires no account and no sign-up. It does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
Where is my medication data stored, and can the developer see it?
Your prescriptions, medications, and dosage schedules are stored locally on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, the data moves between your own devices through Apple's private CloudKit database, which Apple encrypts end to end. The developer cannot access it. The privacy policy covers this in full.
Does Doz work without an internet connection?
Yes. Doz works fully offline. A connection is only needed if you want your data to sync between your devices through iCloud.
How do I sync Doz between my iPhone and iPad?
Turn on iCloud sync and sign both devices into the same Apple Account. Syncing runs through Apple's private CloudKit database, so your data never passes through a server belonging to Doz.
Pricing and availability
Is Doz free?
Doz is a free download from the App Store. An optional subscription called Doz Pro is available as an in-app purchase, billed by Apple.
How do I cancel a Doz Pro subscription or ask for a refund?
Cancel or turn off auto-renewal in your Apple Account settings at any time after purchase; do it at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid renewing. Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple, so refund requests go through Apple rather than the Doz team. The terms of service spell this out.
Is Doz available on Android?
Not at the moment. Doz is an iOS app, and features such as Critical Alerts and private CloudKit sync are built on Apple frameworks.
Medical use
Can Doz tell me which medication to take or change my dose?
No. Doz is an organisation and reminder tool, not medical advice. Always talk to your doctor or pharmacist before starting a treatment or changing a medication schedule, and enter only what they have prescribed.
